Job Description

Year 3/4 Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing from May 2026 This Year 3/4 Teacher role offers the opportunity to join a supportive primary school setting where consistency, clear routines, and high expectations underpin teaching and learning. The Year 3/4 Teacher will deliver engaging lessons across lower Key Stage 2, supporting pupils’ academic progress and personal development in a calm and collaborative environment. Job Responsibility

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons for a mixed Year 3/4 class in line with the national curriculum
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and behaviour
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs
  • Differentiate lessons to support pupils with a range of abilities
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum planning and consistency
  • Maintain clear classroom routines and high expectations for behaviour
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
  • Provide constructive feedback to pupils to support progress and confidence
  • Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally with mixed‑year classes
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate pupils of varying abilities
  • Flexible, reliable, and committed teaching approach
  • Willingness to commit to a long‑term temporary and ongoing role
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
