Job Description

Year 2 Supply Teacher | KS1 Specialist | Local Primary Schools. Position: Full-Time or Part-Time, Flexible (Term Time Only). Salary: £140 - £233 per day (Weekly Pay - dependent on experience). Start Date: Immediate / Next Term. Are you an experienced KS1 practitioner who loves the energy of an 'end-of-key-stage' year? Join our local primary network as a Year 2 Supply Teacher and help pupils finish their infant's journey with confidence and curiosity. Flexibility Without the Administrative Burden. We are seeking skilled Year 2 Teachers to provide high-quality cover across a variety of local schools. This role is perfect for those who enjoy the academic challenge of Year 2-balancing curriculum standards with creative delivery-without the stress of full-time data tracking.

  • Deliver engaging lessons in Literacy and Numeracy
  • Continue to embed strong decoding skills and foster a love for reading
  • Maintain a focused and positive learning environment using established behaviour management strategies
  • Follow the permanent teacher's planning accurately or use own high-quality emergency resources

Requirements

  • Hold QTS: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Are a Year 2 Expert: Solid understanding of KS1 assessment frameworks and the Year 2 National Curriculum
  • Are Resilient & Adaptable: Can step into a new classroom and quickly understand the needs of the pupils and the school's specific routines
  • Are Committed: Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply) and dedicated to Safeguarding
