Job Responsibility:
Confident Curriculum Delivery: Deliver engaging lessons in Literacy and Numeracy that challenge "Greater Depth" learners while supporting those meeting expectations
Phonics & Reading: Continue to embed strong decoding skills and foster a genuine love for reading as children move toward more complex texts
Classroom Leadership: Maintain a focused and positive learning environment using established behaviour management strategies
Consistent Continuity: Follow the permanent teacher's planning accurately or use your own high-quality "emergency" resources to ensure a productive day of learning
Requirements:
Hold QTS: You have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Are a Year 2 Expert: You have a solid understanding of KS1 assessment frameworks and the Year 2 National Curriculum
Are Resilient & Adaptable: You can step into a new classroom and quickly understand the needs of the pupils and the school's specific routines
Are Committed: You hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or are willing to apply) and are 100% dedicated to Safeguarding
