Job Responsibility

  • Deliver engaging lessons in Literacy and Numeracy that challenge 'Greater Depth' learners while supporting those meeting expectations
  • Continue to embed strong decoding skills and foster a genuine love for reading as children move toward more complex texts
  • Maintain a focused and positive learning environment using established behaviour management strategies
  • Follow the permanent teacher's planning accurately or use your own high-quality 'emergency' resources to ensure a productive day of learning

Requirements

  • Hold QTS: You have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Are a Year 2 Expert: You have a solid understanding of KS1 assessment frameworks and the Year 2 National Curriculum
  • Are Resilient & Adaptable: You can step into a new classroom and quickly understand the needs of the pupils and the school's specific routines
  • Are Committed: You hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or are willing to apply) and are 100% dedicated to Safeguarding
