Job Description:

We are seeking skilled Year 2 Teachers to provide high-quality cover across a variety of local schools. This role is perfect for those who enjoy the academic challenge of Year 2-balancing curriculum standards with creative delivery-without the stress of full-time data tracking.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver engaging lessons in Literacy and Numeracy that challenge 'Greater Depth' learners while supporting those meeting expectations
  • Continue to embed strong decoding skills and foster a genuine love for reading as children move toward more complex texts
  • Maintain a focused and positive learning environment using established behaviour management strategies
  • Follow the permanent teacher's planning accurately or use own high-quality 'emergency' resources to ensure a productive day of learning

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Solid understanding of KS1 assessment frameworks and the Year 2 National Curriculum
  • Resilient and adaptable
  • Can step into a new classroom and quickly understand the needs of the pupils and the school's specific routines
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or are willing to apply)
  • 100% dedicated to Safeguarding
