Job Description:

Year 2 Class Teacher | Long-Term Placement. Are you an inspiring educator looking to lead a class through their final term of Key Stage 1? Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated Year 2 Class Teacher for a high-achieving, supportive primary school in Crawley. This is a full-time, long-term role starting immediately after the Easter break and continuing until the end of the academic year. You will be taking over a settled Year 2 class, guiding them through their transition toward Key Stage 2 and ensuring they finish the year with confidence and academic success.

Job Responsibility:

  • Full Classroom Leadership: Take on the full remit of a class teacher, including planning, delivering, and assessing the Year 2 curriculum
  • Assessment & Moderation: Manage end-of-year assessments and report on pupil progress, ensuring every child meets their potential
  • Inclusive Practice: Differentiate lessons to support a mixed-ability cohort, including students with EAL and SEN requirements
  • Parental Engagement: Maintain strong communication with parents and carers regarding student development and transition

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • KS1 Expertise: A deep understanding of the Year 2 curriculum and effective phonics delivery
