Job Description:

Year 1 Primary Teacher - January to July (Challenging Behaviour). We are seeking an experienced and resilient Year 1 Primary Teacher for a long-term position from January to July. This role requires a strong, confident educator who can manage challenging behaviour and provide stability and guidance for a class that requires extra support. This is a great opportunity to make a real impact in a classroom where consistency and strong leadership are key to improving outcomes for the students.

Job Responsibility:

  • Full teaching responsibilities, including planning, preparation, and assessment
  • Work with a class that has a mix of needs, including challenging behaviour, requiring consistent behaviour management strategies
  • Implement creative and engaging lessons to inspire and support academic and personal development
  • Work closely with the SEN team and other staff to create individualised plans for pupils who need additional support
  • Build strong relationships with the children to create a safe, supportive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing challenging behaviour in a primary setting
  • A confident, positive approach to behaviour management
  • The ability to foster resilience, cooperation, and mutual respect in the classroom
  • Experience working in Key Stage 1 (Year 1 preferred)
  • A passion for making a difference and helping all children achieve their potential
  • PPA teaching experience
  • years 1-6 experience
  • BA Hons (QTS)
  • BSc Hons (QTS)
