Job Description:

We are excited to be supporting a caring and inclusive primary school in the Salford area in their search for a Year 1 Teacher to join their team from September. This full-time position is expected to run for the duration of the academic year and offers an excellent opportunity to become part of a dedicated and supportive Key Stage 1 department. The school prides itself on creating a positive atmosphere where children are encouraged to thrive both academically and personally. The successful candidate will take responsibility for a lively and enthusiastic Year 1 class, delivering high-quality lessons that inspire curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning. You will be supported by an experienced leadership team and strong classroom support staff throughout the placement.

Job Responsibility:

  • Delivering engaging and creative lessons across the Year 1 curriculum
  • Planning, preparing, and assessing pupils’ work in line with national expectations
  • Encouraging pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • Maintaining a safe, stimulating, and well-organised classroom environment
  • Working collaboratively with staff across the KS1 phase

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Two education-based references.
  • The right to work in the UK
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A passion for helping young learners succeed.
