Job Description

Here at AK Teaching, we are working with a one-form entry primary school in WF2 who are looking for a Y1 Teacher to start in May. The role is until the end of the academic year. Full-time, maternity cover until July. Teaching a Year 1 class, fostering a love for learning. Creating an engaging and inclusive environment. Working with a fantastic team of staff and supportive leadership.

Job Responsibility

  • Plan and deliver all learning
  • Identify SEN needs and plan interventions
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistant and SEN support
  • Assess pupil understanding
  • Ensuring that children make progress and supporting the additional needs of pupils

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience or passion for working with Key Stage 1 pupils
  • Creativity, enthusiasm, and a nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Understanding of Read Write Inc Scheme for Phonics
