Curriculum Focus: Lead the charge in Year 1, with a particular emphasis on early literacy, numeracy, and the transition from EYFS. Your Role as the Classroom Lead As a Year 1 Supply Teacher, you are the captain of the ship, ensuring that learning continues seamlessly and that every child feels supported. Expert Lesson Delivery: Deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that bridge the gap between play-based learning and KS1 structure. Phonics Mastery: Utilise your knowledge of Phonics (e.g., Read Write Inc, Jolly Phonics, or Little Wandle) to boost reading confidence. Classroom Management: Quickly build rapport with new groups of children, maintaining a calm, productive, and safe learning environment. Adaptive Teaching: Differentiate tasks on the fly to support pupils with diverse needs, ensuring every child stays on track with the day's objectives.
