Job Description

Year 1 Supply Teacher | KS1 Specialist | Local Primary Schools. Position: Full-Time or Part-Time, Flexible (Term Time Only). Salary: £140 - £233 per day (Weekly Pay - dependent on experience). Start Date: Immediate / Next Term. We are seeking enthusiastic KS1 Teachers to lead Year 1 classes across a variety of high-achieving and community-focused schools. This role is ideal for those who want to focus on high-quality teaching and pupil engagement rather than endless data tracking and weekend planning.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons bridging play-based learning and KS1 structure
  • Utilise knowledge of Phonics (e.g., Read Write Inc, Jolly Phonics, or Little Wandle) to boost reading confidence
  • Quickly build rapport with new groups of children, maintaining a calm, productive, and safe learning environment
  • Differentiate tasks on the fly to support pupils with diverse needs

Requirements

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Deep understanding of the Year 1 curriculum and developmental needs of 5-6 year olds
  • Adaptable
  • Commitment to Safeguarding (Enhanced DBS on update service or willing to apply)
