Job Description

Year 1 Supply Teacher | KS1 Specialist | Local Primary Schools. Position: Full-Time or Part-Time, Flexible (Term Time Only). Salary: £140 - £233 per day (Weekly Pay - dependent on experience). Start Date: Immediate / Next Term. Are you a qualified teacher who loves the magic of Key Stage 1 but craves a better work-life balance? Join our local primary network as a Year 1 Supply Teacher and inspire young learners as they transition into their first formal years of schooling.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that bridge the gap between play-based learning and KS1 structure
  • Utilise knowledge of Phonics (e.g., Read Write Inc, Jolly Phonics, or Little Wandle) to boost reading confidence
  • Quickly build rapport with new groups of children, maintaining a calm, productive, and safe learning environment
  • Differentiate tasks on the fly to support pupils with diverse needs

Requirements

  • QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Deep understanding of the Year 1 curriculum and the developmental needs of 5 and 6-year-olds
  • Adaptable
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
  • 100% dedicated to Safeguarding
