Year 1 Supply Teacher | KS1 Specialist | Local Primary Schools Position: Full-Time or Part-Time, Flexible (Term Time Only) Salary: £140 - £233 per day (Weekly Pay - dependent on experience) Start Date: Immediate / Next Term Are you a qualified teacher who loves the magic of Key Stage 1 but craves a better work-life balance? This role is ideal for those who want to focus on high-quality teaching and pupil engagement rather than endless data tracking and weekend planning. Curriculum Focus: Lead the charge in Year 1, with a particular emphasis on early literacy, numeracy, and the transition from EYFS. Freedom & Variety: Experience different school cultures and demographics, from small village schools to large multi-academy trusts. Work-Life Balance: Leave at the end of the school day! As a supply teacher, you enjoy the rewards of the classroom with no 'take-home' marking or staff meetings. Weekly Pay: Competitive daily rates of £140 - £233, paid every Friday via Randstad. Your Role as the Classroom Lead As a Year 1 Supply Teacher, you are the captain of the ship, ensuring that learning continues seamlessly and that every child feels supported. Expert Lesson Delivery: Deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that bridge the gap between play-based learning and KS1 structure. Phonics Mastery: Utilise your knowledge of Phonics (e.g., Read Write Inc, Jolly Phonics, or Little Wandle) to boost reading confidence. Classroom Management: Quickly build rapport with new groups of children, maintaining a calm, productive, and safe learning environment. Adaptive Teaching: Differentiate tasks on the fly to support pupils with diverse needs, ensuring every child stays on track with the day's objectives.
