Job Description:

Long-term, Full-time | February Start | £140+ per day. We are recruiting on behalf of a supportive and well-established primary school in Seaford who are seeking a confident Year 1 Primary Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis from February. The school has a strong KS1 team, clear phonics structure, and a calm, nurturing approach to early learning. Planning is shared across the year group, and teachers are well supported by experienced teaching assistants and a visible senior leadership team. This role would suit a teacher who enjoys structure, values routine, and understands the importance of supporting pupils as they transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1.

Job Responsibility:

  • Planning and delivering engaging KS1 lessons
  • Supporting early reading, writing, and numeracy development
  • Establishing clear routines and expectations
  • Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching accordingly
  • Working closely with support staff and senior leaders

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Recent KS1 teaching experience
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training
