Job Description:

We are seeking Yardworkers for a large North American metals recycling company in Victoria, BC. If you are strong, physically fit, and have a desire to learn, we want to hear from you! This opportunity has the potential to become permanent for the right person. Position Overview Status: Temporary with full-time hours (Potential to become permanent) Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Location: Close to Downtown Victoria (Transit accessible) Pay Rate: $22.00 – $24.00/hour (Depending on experience) Start Date: ASAP

Job Responsibility:

  • Comfortable working outdoor (Rain, Sun, Snow)
  • Identifying, removing and organizing recyclable metals
  • Physical work at a fast pace
  • Working on different products including vehicles
  • First stage in preparing metals to be transformed into quality produce

Requirements:

  • Physical fitness and able to handle a fast pace environment
  • Forklift experience (solid tire counterbalance experience is an asset)
  • Inventory experience
  • Scrap metal experience is an asset
  • Great attitude
  • Strong work ethic
  • Good communication skills
  • Willing to learn and grow with the company
  • Must have steel toed safety boots

Nice to have:
