Job Description

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Yardi Support Specialist to provide mid- to high-level support across our Yardi platform. This full-time role (hybrid schedule) is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of our real estate accounting systems, maintaining data integrity and supporting users across multiple departments. The ideal candidate will have strong Yardi Voyager administrative experience, a solid accounting foundation, technical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to take ownership of tickets and system-related projects.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide mid to high level support across the Yardi systems via a ticketing system
  • Diagnose and resolve issues while maintaining data integrity and following best practices and security procedures
  • Serve as primary support contact for all Yardi-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and user satisfaction
  • Administer and support Yardi modules including Core Voyager, Procure to Pay, Job Cost, Maintenance IQ, Affordable, Commercial, Investment Accounting, and other modules as needed
  • Manage user roles, permissions, and security settings
  • Coordinate with Yardi Support and third-party vendors for escalations, upgrades, and enhancements
  • Ensure accuracy of data to/from Yardi and third-party integrations
  • Monitor system performance and conduct regular data audits
  • Assist with system integrations, ETL import/export processes, and data migrations
  • Develop custom programming requests utilizing SQL, ySQL, YSR, and other platforms as needed
  • Maintain compliance with IT security protocols and SOX governance standards
  • Create custom reports, scripts, and data outputs to support various departments
  • Develop custom account trees and financial reporting structures
  • Leverage ySQL to build reports and scripts (knowledge of Yardi database schema preferred)
  • Support internal controls through customized accounting functions and reporting
  • Work closely with Accounting, Asset Management, Property Management, Leasing, Compliance, and Legal teams
  • Collaborate to align system functionality with business needs
  • Assist with onboarding newly acquired properties
  • Participate in discovery, configuration, testing, and deployment of Yardi solutions
  • Maintain accurate SOPs for system processes and administrative workflows
  • Manage multiple projects while handling daily support responsibilities
  • Take ownership of tickets and assigned initiatives from intake through resolution
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental goals

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, data science or related field
  • Minimum 4–6 years of hands-on Yardi Voyager experience (5+ years preferred)
  • Experience supporting core Yardi Voyager in a helpdesk or administrative capacity
  • Multi-module exposure (Affordable, Commercial, Residential preferred)
  • Familiarity with GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting workflows
  • Experience ensuring accuracy of data across integrations and third-party systems
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and customer support skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively via email and phone with users of varying technical experience levels

Nice to have

  • Experience in property conversions
  • ETL import/export experience
  • Ability to create custom scripts using ySQL
  • Knowledge of the Yardi database schema
