Job Description:

We’re now looking for a reliable Yard Operative to join our team at our Parkers Building Supplies Eastbourne Branch. This is a hands‑on, outdoor role involving heavy building materials and direct customer interaction.

Job Responsibility:

  • Load and unload building materials and timber
  • Pick and prepare customer orders
  • Assist customers collecting goods from the yard
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe yard area
  • Operate forklift trucks (if trained)
  • Follow all health and safety procedures

Requirements:

  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Full UK driving licence

Nice to have:

  • Forklift licence
  • Yard or builders’ merchant experience
  • Sales or product knowledge
