This is a great opportunity to join a large-scale operation within the Rail sector, supporting essential logistics and site movements. We're looking for multiple Yard Operatives / Shunters to join a busy site in the Loughborough area. The perfect opportunity for Rail accustomed candidates, this role offers consistent hours, strong pay rates and the chance to be part of a key operational team.

Job Responsibility

  • Shunting and positioning wagons across site
  • Coupling and uncoupling wagons safely
  • Carrying out routine wagon inspections
  • Driving vehicles within the yard (where required)
  • Following strict health & safety procedures
  • Supporting smooth day-to-day yard movements and operations

Requirements

  • Previous Rail Depot / Sidings experience essential
  • Previous Shunting experience essential
  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
  • Strong work ethic and reliable attitude
  • Able to work early starts or night shifts consistently
  • Candidates must have their own transport to site (car and valid UK driving licence preferred)

Nice to have

Relevant qualifications are advantageous but not essential
