Job Description

We’re on the lookout for a Yard Operative/Relief HGV Driver to support our team at Erdington. This is a varied and active role, ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, being part of a practical team, and helping customers get exactly what they need to get the job done.

Job Responsibility

  • Providing a friendly, knowledgeable service to customers in the yard when not out in our vehicles delivering materials
  • Safely receiving and organising deliveries - keeping the yard tidy and secure
  • Supporting with vehicle loading/unloading - helping the team get deliveries out on time
  • Making local deliveries in both our van & HGV vehicles – this will be the main part of the role, and supporting in the yard when not out on the road
  • Being vigilant about stock security and safety procedures

Requirements

  • Class 2 licence
  • Forklift licence (optional, not essential)
