Job Description:

We have an immediate opening for a full-time Yard Coordinator. This position requires regular onsite attendance and will be responsible for maintaining and organizing the yard, managing a large volume of shipping & receiving, organizing, and preparing signs for shipments, including building crates, and general upkeep of the premises and vehicles. Forklift certified training his is mostly an outdoor job, with little activity or duties occurring inside the warehouse. Forklift experience, dependability, good communication skills and the ability to work outside are necessities to perform this position.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for organizing and packaging signs for outgoing shipments and deliveries
  • Operate a forklift/lift truck to load/unload trucks and move materials throughout the facility
  • Operating hand power tools, hydraulic power tools, and heavy power tools
  • Keep the yard and facility clean and free of clutter
  • Organize outdoor inventory
  • Routine maintenance on vehicles and perform inspections
  • Maintain all P.P.E. and use in appropriate manner
  • Making pallets and crates out of material in facility
  • Fill out work instructions and timecards
  • Record material usage and report excessive waste
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a shop/yard environment
  • Understanding of P.P.E. and shop safety
  • Experience with Shipping & Receiving
  • Proven track record of acceptable attendance
  • Be able to lift 25-50 lbs using proper lifting techniques
  • Be able to operate a pallet jack and forklift
  • Ability to work mostly outdoors
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience with metal and wood working
  • Must be able to meet or exceed all safety requirements of Bootz & Duke in addition to all OSHA guidelines
  • Must have auto/truck mechanical skills
  • Experience with DOT regulations

  • Coordinate with Engineering and Start-Up teams on SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) for dock equipment, yard systems, yard tractors, sensors, and automation supporting dock-level operations
  • Ensure all dock-related 5S work, signage, safety barriers, trailer restraints, and traffic plans are completed before go-live
  • Onboard and validate all transportation and dock vendors, including carriers, yard management services, and MHE providers
  • Serve as the on-site leader for dock, yard, and transportation execution, directing daily operations during ramp-up
  • Manage and deploy ~100 hourly associates (dock workers, yard spotters, clerks, and transportation support roles)
  • Oversee inbound and outbound trailer movement, live vs. drop prioritization, pre-receiving planning, dispatch readiness, returns handling, and value-added services
  • Validate WMS/WES transaction accuracy for trailer check-in/out, load closures, yard map movements, and dock-door assignments
