We are seeking an experienced Year 6 Intervention Teacher to support pupils in the lead-up to SATs within a dedicated and forward-thinking primary school. This part-time position (2 days per week) is due to start after Easter and will run until May half term. The school is well-regarded for its supportive staff team, high aspirations, and commitment to helping every pupil achieve their best.
Job Responsibility:
Deliver targeted Year 6 intervention sessions in reading, writing, and maths
Plan and deliver tailored support to address individual learning gaps
Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching to maximise outcomes
Work closely with the Year 6 class teacher and SLT to align intervention strategies
Help prepare pupils effectively for end-of-key-stage assessments
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Proven experience of teaching or delivering interventions in Upper KS2
Strong knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum and SATs expectations
Two education or school-based references
Excellent communication, organisation, and assessment skills
A focused, supportive approach to raising attainment
