Job Description:

Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville is looking to hire a Registered Nurse for inpatient Wound Care. This Wound Care RN position is a full-time days position.

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing evaluation of patients with ostomy/draining wounds
  • Initiating plan of treatment and ongoing evaluation
  • Consulting primary RN and providing reports to physician
  • Identifying educational needs of nursing personnel and conducts inservices on ostomy, skin, wound, and fistula care
  • Providing multidisciplinary care with rehab professionals, RNs, doctors, social services, and support
  • Instructing patient/families in use of wound care products and participation in the plan of care

Requirements:

  • 3 - 5 years of nursing experience
  • 2 years of wound care experience
  • 2 years of acute care nursing experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing Required
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - State Nursing Board Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA Required
