This position’s primary responsibilities are to plan, coordinate and lead worship during our Sunday services as well as oversee all technological aspects within the service. The worship leader prays, sings, and interacts with the band, the pastor, and the congregation while establishing a worshipful atmosphere throughout the service. This is a part-time position based in Bennington, Nebraska, just outside Omaha.
Job Responsibility:
Lead worship on Sunday mornings
Select music for congregational worship
Work with vocalists and instrumentalists to learn music for worship service
Plan and lead weekly worship team rehearsal
Set up and tear down all aspects of worship for Sunday morning, including, but not limited to: instruments and microphones
Oversee tech team to ensure audio and video needs for worship are in place
Use planning center to schedule and communicate with worship team about practice & music selection
Work with the Pastor on music selection in support of scripture and or sermon series
Oversee technical aspects of worship including sound, lights, media and staging which includes coordination on Sunday between the creative team (audio, visual) and the worship team (band, vocals)
Provide input and assist with stage design to create an inviting, worshipful atmosphere where people can encounter God
Attend weekly, monthly, and annual church leadership meetings
Maintain a strong sense of commitment and camaraderie within the worship team
Recruit musicians to join worship team and help team members grow in their ministry gifts
Work with Three Timbers Church’s business manager to develop and operate within an annual worship budget each year
Plan and coordinate worship and/or music for special events
Other duties assigned by the lead pastor
