As a Workshop Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality workshop delivery, training and support to learners pursuing apprenticeships in the field of Dental nursing. You will facilitate engaging and impactful workshops, provide instruction, and guide apprentices through their learning journey, ensuring they gain the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in their chosen career path. This role requires expertise in Dental nursing, strong instructional abilities, and a passion for supporting learners and delivering upon our pledge to deliver an outstanding teaching and learning experience to every learner, every time.
Job Responsibility:
Workshop facilitation including the planning, preparation and delivery of engaging workshops to learners, covering a range of topics related to Dental nurse apprenticeships
Create a supportive, engaging and inclusive learning environment that encourages effective knowledge retention and active participation from a diverse cohort of learners
Instructional delivery including employing a variety of teaching techniques and instructional methods to cater to all accessibility and learning needs, learning styles and abilities
Utilise interactive activities, presentations, and case studies and practical demonstrations to enhance the learner journey and learning outcomes
Participate in the curriculum development alongside the curriculum development team and subject matter experts
Review and update all training materials ensuring alignment to industry standards, apprenticeship framework and regulatory requirements
Contribute to the creation of innovative new resources as needed to enhance programme
Provide personalised support and guidance to apprentices both in the workshop and following the workshop both in workshop setting and during one-to-one interactions
Provide timely and constructive feedback on assessments and assignments assisting learners in identifying areas of improvement, and address any queries to help overcome challenges and foster professional growth and development
Design and administer assessments to evaluate apprentices’ progress and understanding of the course content
Establish effective stakeholder relationships and partnerships to support successful delivery of apprenticeship and work-based learning
Maintain records of attendance, for each learner
Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies
Adhere to GDPR regulations and all internal information and data security policies and procedures
Proactively promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people
Requirements:
Grade A-C GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent
Level 3 Dental Nursing Qualification and registered with the GDC
Level 3 Award in Education and Training or equivalent or working towards
Extensive experience working in the Dental nursing sector
Experience of teaching or delivering training, preferably in Dental nursing adult education or apprenticeships at level 3
Experience of working as part of a remote based team
Experience of facilitating learning and engaging and motivating learners
Experience of working under pressure and achieving targets without close supervision
Excellent knowledge of Dental nursing knowledge, regulations and industry standards
Knowledge of further education, apprenticeships or work-based learning
Knowledge of different learner styles or needs and experience of adapting learning content for accessible requirements
IT literate with experience of using MS Office, MS Teams, and other digital technologies to enhance learning
