Requirements

Clear, confident communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams to build positive working relationships
Maintains a high level of accuracy and precision in practical tasks
Strong practical ability and fine motor skills suitable for hands-on technical work
Previous experience of working in a workshop setting and/or medical device manufacturing environment are desirable
No formal qualifications are required for this role
however ideal candidates will have a good standard of literacy and numeracy
Qualifications obtained in a manufacturing setting are also advantageous

Job Responsibility

Prepare and assemble/build medical devices as required by the Prosthetist/Orthotist according to the requirements of the Prescription or Works Order
Ensure that prosthesis or orthoses issued to patients are functional and are delivered in a timeline manner
Ensure correct materials and components are issued for the job and that appropriate tools are available
Liaise with Senior Technicians and Workshop Lead to address identified quality problems and assist in providing effective solutions, minimising unnecessary wastage

Requirements

Proven experience as a light vehicle technician or similar role
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
