Job Description

Ron Finemore Transport Wodonga is seeking an experienced and motivated Service Manager to lead our busy maintenance workshop and drive operational excellence across our fleet maintenance operations. Leading a skilled team of Mechanics, Welders, Fabricators and Apprentices, you will oversee the maintenance and repair of a modern heavy vehicle fleet while ensuring safety, compliance, reliability and workshop efficiency targets are achieved. We are looking for a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to safety, reliability and operational excellence. Some occasional travel may be required, with all travel costs covered by RFT.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure fleet maintenance and repairs are completed safely and efficiently
  • Maintain compliance with NHVR, WHS and company requirements
  • Drive workshop productivity, reliability and housekeeping standards
  • Liaise with operations teams, suppliers and contractors
  • Promote a strong safety-first culture

Requirements

  • Previous fleet or dealership experience in a leadership or management role
  • Strong understanding of NHVR rules and regulations
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Sound computer and administrative skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Trade qualification in heavy vehicle mechanical field (preferred)
  • Heavy vehicle licence advantageous
