Job Description:

This is a hands-on workshop role offering long-term stability, structured hours and the opportunity to develop your technical skills in a supportive environment. If you enjoy mechanical work, take pride in quality and want a role with clear structure and progression, this could be a great fit. You will work Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30, with no weekend work, alongside an experienced team in a well-equipped workshop. Training is provided, and the business is committed to developing its people over the long term.

Job Responsibility:

  • Carrying out mechanical maintenance, repair and overhaul work on plant equipment
  • Diagnosing faults and completing repairs in line with specifications and work instructions
  • Stripping, inspecting and rebuilding components where required
  • Completing job documentation accurately and on time
  • Working to quality, health and safety and operational standards
  • Supporting workshop planning and prioritisation of jobs
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
  • Working collaboratively with supervisors and colleagues to meet deadlines

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a mechanical, plant, workshop or technician role
  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to follow procedures and technical instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Good communication skills
  • A positive, reliable and flexible approach
  • Willingness to learn and develop through on-the-job training
