Full time permanent Workshop Mechanic/Fitter role based in Regency Park. Join a rapidly growing company with opportunities to learn and grow. At Motion we are a leading specialist in driveshaft solutions for the Australian industrial, agricultural, and automotive markets and is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated Workshop Fitter to join our team in Regency Park. This is a Permanent Fulltime opportunity for someone to join our small team, who is looking for work life balance, Stable employment and career progression as we provide on the job training by supportive and experienced staff.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build and reconditioning driveshafts for automotive, commercial, off highway and industrial applications
  • Machine of driveline components
  • Assemble, welding, and balancing of driveshafts
  • General workshop duties as required

Requirements:

  • Well-developed fitting and machining skills obtained in a workshop environment
  • Have a sound mechanical aptitude and knowledge
  • Experience operating manual lathes and welding equipment is essential
  • Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility with job tasks
  • Proven safety and quality focus & perform assigned duties in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with Company's Health & Safety policies & procedures
  • A willingness to work as part of a team, and do whatever is required, to help achieve business targets
  • You must be either an Australian Citizen or a holder of an Australian Permanent Residency Visa to be eligible to apply for this position

  • Deliver and oversee the planned maintenance schedule, ensuring all tasks are completed on time
  • Complete accurate service records, inspection reports and daily work sheets on the Reflow system and compliance documentation
  • Manage service intervals and preventative maintenance
  • Source, identify, and procure specialist parts and components from approved suppliers
  • Conduct routine inspections and safety checks where required
  • Stripping equipment and plant in a safe manner
  • Issue toolbox talks and basic maintenance training and advice to operational staff
  • Manage and maintain stock levels of critical spares and consumables
  • Support equipment commissioning, testing, and post-repair verification
