Job Description:

This is one of the busiest and most critical roles within the dealership, responsible for the day-to-day control of a large workshop with over 25 technicians. You will be accountable for planning, prioritising and allocating work to technicians, ensuring maximum productivity, efficient workflow and strict adherence to deadlines in a high-pressure, high-volume environment. This role requires someone who is exceptionally organised, thrives under pressure, and is confident managing competing priorities throughout the day.

Job Responsibility:

  • Controlling and coordinating workflow across a large workshop operation
  • Allocating work effectively to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity
  • Managing technician time, resources and job flow
  • Ensuring all incoming work is planned accurately and delivered on time
  • Maintaining high standards in a fast-paced dealership environment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Workshop Controller or similar senior workshop role
  • Motor Trade background essential (workshop or senior technician level)
  • Highly organised with the ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Confident decision-maker in a time-critical environment
  • Full, valid UK driving licence
