Job Description:

Renowned for delivering high standards of customer service, we specialise in the sale, service, and maintenance of DAF trucks. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Controller to oversee and coordinate our busy, high-performing workshop, ensuring efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction at all times.

Job Responsibility:

Allocate work to technicians in line with skill set and job priority
Monitor job progress and ensure timely completion
Ensure high levels of productivity and efficiency across the workshop
Liaise with service advisors and parts department to ensure seamless workflow
Maintain accurate job cards and records through our internal systems
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide support/training to workshop staff
Ensure all health & safety standards and manufacturer guidelines are followed

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Senior Technician, or similar supervisory role in a commercial vehicle or HGV environment
A working technical understanding of vehicles in order to clearly explain repairs or additional repairs to customers
Customer service skills, including dealing with difficult situations and an ability to up-sell our services and products where appropriate
Strong IT skills
Awareness of warranty guidelines, service intervals, etc.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Be flexible, energised and a team player
