The Workplace Manager is responsible for leading day-to-day facilities management operations at their assigned location, ensuring exceptional workplace experiences that support productivity, collaboration, and employee satisfaction. This role serves as the primary on-site leader coordinating all workplace services while maintaining client’s workplace standards and culture.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee all aspects of facility operations including maintenance, engineering services, workplace experience, and vendor management
Lead and develop on-site teams including Facility Coordinators, Lobby Ambassadors, and technical staff
Serve as the primary point of contact for Client's local leadership team on all workplace and facilities matters
Implement site-specific workplace strategies aligned with Client's global standards and local requirements
Manage site budgets and financial performance, identifying opportunities for cost optimization
Ensure compliance with local building codes, health and safety regulations, and corporate policies
Coordinate workplace projects including small renovations, furniture reconfigurations, and space planning
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers
Oversee the resolution of workplace issues through effective service request management, ensuring timely response and consistent follow-through
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows, reduce inefficiencies, enhance service delivery consistency, and improve the overall employee experience
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace experience, elevate performance standards, and drive greater operational efficiency
Coordinate special events, meetings, and workplace activities to support Client's culture
Prepare regular reports on site performance, occupancy metrics, and service delivery KPIs
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of experience in facilities management or workplace services
3+ years of supervisory experience leading facility teams
Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and workplace operations
Experience managing vendor relationships and service contracts
Proficiency in facilities management software and Microsoft Office suite
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Customer service mindset with a focus on enhancing employee experience
Nice to have:
Professional certification such as FMP, CFM, or related credential
Experience working in technology industry environments
Knowledge of workplace experience best practices and trends
Experience managing facilities in similar-sized corporate environments
Project management skills and experience leading small to medium workplace projects
Experience with IWMS systems and workplace technology platforms
Understanding of sustainability practices in facilities management
Knowledge of local regulations specific to the site location
