At the E‑Mobility Competence Center in Braunschweig, we develop and manufacture battery systems for electric and hybrid vehicles for the Volkswagen Group. This includes the design and development of high‑voltage battery systems as well as the associated electronics and software. The “Testing and Validation” department ensures that all functions and projects within battery development meet our high requirements for functionality, robustness, and safety through extensive testing. The continuous advancement of our testing methods, processes, tools, and infrastructure forms the foundation for the high quality of our high‑voltage battery systems. In this dynamic environment, we are looking for individuals interested in a student role to support our team starting in April 2026.
Job Responsibility:
Mitarbeit bei vielfältigen Themen in der Entwicklung in der Batteriesicherheit von HV-Batteriesystemen
Eigenständiges Sichten, Weiterverarbeiten und Aufbereiten von Daten aus verschiedenen Integrationsstufen (Zelle, Modul/Stack, System)
Einarbeitung in Tools der Datenanalyse, mehrheitlich Python
Unterstützung bei der Interpretation der erhobenen Daten und Erstellung von Berichten und präsentationsreifen Unterlagen in gängigen MS Office Anwendungen
Mitwirken bei der Entwicklung neuer Methoden oder Werkzeuge zur Optimierung des Testings
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s studies in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or a comparable field with good academic performance
Knowledge of data analysis methods, e.g., using Matlab, Python
Confident use of Microsoft Office applications
German language level C1
English language level B2
Nice to have:
