Requirements:

  • Procedural Guidance: Meet with students reported for misconduct to explain the relevant policies and procedures related to Student Code of Conduct, Academic Integrity Policy, Non-Academic Policy, and Gender-Based & Sexual Violence Policy. Clearly explain their rights, the investigation process, and potential outcomes in plain language
  • Preliminary Investigation Support: Conduct impartial fact-finding interviews with student respondents and assist them by taking preliminary statements from and provide them to decision-makers
  • Coaching: Utilize restorative justice and coaching principles to help students reflect on their behavior. Discuss 'lessons learned' and strategies to avoid future misconduct
  • Coordination and Collaboration: with the Operations Coordinator with administrative tasks related to conduct cases (e.g., schedule and coordinate hearings/meetings between Students, Instructors, Chairs, Directors, Deans, the Academic Integrity Office and/or Registrar). Coordinate support with the Students Association of Keyano College (SAKC)
  • Workshops: Develop and deliver skill-building training for students. Topics include: Understanding Academic Integrity, Conflict Resolution, Resilience, and Healthy Coping
