We’re seeking an experienced Working Foreperson (Foreman) to join the team in our Maintenance business working around Birmingham, Warwickshire and Leicestershire. Job Responsibility:
Working on the tools whilst maintaining the supervision of a directly employed trades team, the site and labour allocation within residential properties
Daily management of team productivity, regular reporting of this and job completion information communicated to the Contracts Manager
Health and Safety reporting – completing on-site welfare checks, including monitoring safe ways of working, PPE, van, and tool/equipment inspections
Delivery of regular toolbox talks
Pre work inspections, setups and post inspections of works completed
Requirements:
Qualified to a minimum NVQ 2 level or equivalent in carpentry or a core trade
CSCS card
asbestos awareness and manual handling
SSSTS or SMSTS
Possession of a full current UK Driving Licence is essential
Confidence in using IT systems or the willingness to learn with training and support
Experience as a Foreman/Foreperson or as an experienced Multi Operative with some supervisory experience and a proven track record in managing projects
Ability to 'lead by example' and incentivise an experienced directly employed and sub contract trade workforce
Ability to take responsibility and handle day to day operational queries and decisions
