Communicate and work with lines personnel to be aware of the status of construction progress and possible upcoming issues
Provide direction, support, and assistance to the line employees to ensure the safe accomplishment of their duties
Actively participate in new project transition
Provide input in the development of the project schedule
Provide input in the development of subcontractor and supplier scopes of work
Review purchase orders, subcontracts, and other documents issued for the project
Effectively control project costs
Work alongside line employees to ensure projects are completed efficiently

Minimum DZ license in good standing
Experience in Provincial and or Municipal highway maintenance field
Helpful, friendly and courteous with the public, regulatory agencies and peers

Job Responsibility

Carrying out all assigned routine/non-routine highway maintenance operations and activities undertaken from designated patrol centers. Work assignments will include shift work and overtime as required
Provision of supervision of employees in more than one patrol yard. Staff mentoring, participate in employee orientation, provide reports as requested
Performing activities such as delegation, monitoring and assisting staff with traffic control, emergency responses, highway surface maintenance, right-of-way maintenance, highway patrolling, shoulder maintenance/grading, plowing, sanding/salting, drainage maintenance, etc.
Troubleshooting issues both operationally and mechanically, responding to client /company requests

Ensures all installation work is done according to quality standards, always complying with proper safety standards/procedures.
Understand field prints to determine what work is to be performed, in addition to awareness of issues and how to work through them
Work in, on and around customer’s property while following company policies and maintaining the highest level of professionalism towards any customer and their property
Directly responsible for all vehicles and equipment that is assigned to you
