Job Description:

Must keep records of employees and equipment and be responsible for the inspection of work by subordinates and contractors for the conformance to plans and specifications. Responsible for all preparation of records and schedule work as assigned; Supervise and train subordinates and operators on proper equipment use and care. Responsible for the safety methods and practices of such work; and to maintain and repair motor vehicles such as trucks and cars used by the DPW as well as all heavy equipment in the DPW; both gasoline and diesel engine driven; Maintain and repair all other tools and equipment including plows, trailers, pull-brooms etc; Ability to use both gas and electric welders in the performance of the duties required; Keep time schedules in connection with all rolling stock for preventive maintenance purposes, and to be responsible for the maintenance of buildings and grounds and to perform all other duties as directed.
