About the opportunity In this newly created position, as Workforce Productivity & Planning Manager, you will help unlock the value of Australia Post’s investment in UKG Pro Workforce Management, working with a dedicated project team & our operational leaders to establish the workforce planning foundations that improve time, attendance and rostering outcomes. This role sits at the heart of change, partnering closely with Retail leaders to shift from manual workforce planning to a sustainable, data‑driven business-as-usual capability. What you’ll deliver with us You’ll help shape the future of retail workforce planning at Australia Post, building the foundations that will support our network for years to come. You’ll also Support sustainable workforce planning through scalable, demand‑informed workforce models that promote fair, predictable staffing and rostering outcomes, while balancing customer demand, team member wellbeing and operational requirements. Establish and govern consistent labour standards & workforce practices to ensure transparency, accuracy and compliance, supporting reliable workforce planning and budgeting. Build and maintain a clear workforce planning roadmap, sequencing initiatives in line with operational priorities, workforce readiness, and ongoing consultation and engagement with key stakeholders. Embed nationally consistent workforce practices, procedures, and governance frameworks that strengthen data quality, standardise processes, support sustainable business-as-usual workforce management, and ensure compliance with industrial agreements and relevant legislation. About you You’re a strategic and commercially minded workforce planning leader who enjoys working at the intersection of strategy, data and operations. You’ve led organisations through the shift from manual or fragmented workforce planning approaches to future‑state models supported by modern systems and clear governance. You’re comfortable partnering with senior leaders, shaping discussion with evidence‑based insight, and influencing decisions that have real, on‑the‑ground impact. You bring a collaborative mindset and thrive on working with leadership teams to solve complex workforce challenges, always keeping the customer and frontline experience front of mind. You’ll also need Strong experience in Workforce Planning - forecasting, modelling and workforce management system implementation (UKG Pro or equivalent). Experience operating in complex, multi-site, customer-facing environments (retail, logistics, service networks). A strong understanding of workforce planning trends, technologies and best‑practice approaches. Knowledge of forecasting methodologies, rostering optimisation, automation, and analytics tools that are shaping the shift toward more dynamic workforce planning. Confidence engaging with senior leaders, including GMs, key internal and external stakeholders and influencing decisions through clear, data‑led insight.
