Job Description

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Workforce Development Lead to launch and lead our new Therapeutic Care Lead Programme within our CAMHS Division. This is a unique opportunity to shape a flagship workforce development programme, combining coaching, learning and quality improvement to strengthen the skills, confidence and impact of our therapeutic workforce. You'll work closely with senior leaders and frontline teams to develop future therapeutic leaders, improve practice and help deliver positive outcomes for children and young people. Job Responsibility

  • Design and deliver the Therapeutic Care Lead induction programme
  • Coach, mentor and support Care Leads throughout their development journey
  • Deliver training, workshops and workforce development initiatives
  • Support competency assessments, reflective practice and professional development
  • Help embed learning into day-to-day care delivery
  • Support quality improvement and workforce development projects
  • Work alongside managers to identify training and development needs
  • Support implementation of our Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Travel across services to observe practice, provide feedback and support teams

Requirements

  • Significant experience within health and social care
  • Experience coaching, mentoring or developing staff
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, quality care and person-centred practice
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Passion for workforce development and service improvement
  • RMN, RNLD, Social Work or other relevant professional qualification
  • Experience delivering training or workforce development programmes
  • Experience within CAMHS, Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Autism or Complex Care services
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practice, PBS or therapeutic approaches
  • Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Nice to have

  • RMN, RNLD, Social Work or other relevant professional qualification
  • Experience delivering training or workforce development programmes
  • Experience within CAMHS, Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Autism or Complex Care services

  • Oversee multiple grants that support businesses with training and expansion. Develop new grants based on economic conditions and industry needs in Wyoming
  • Empower a Team: Manage and oversee all administrative responsibilities of the WDTF program, including both full-time and temporary staff. Responsible for direct supervision of full-time and temporary staff, including regular training on grants and grant systems
  • Lead the overall direction of work for all personnel within the program. Direct and manage all program activities, including the program budget
  • Develop, review, and analyze grant requirements, contracts, and policy. Oversee the preparation and presentation of applications to Wyoming Workforce Development Council sub-committee meetings for approval recommendations to the agency director
  • Inspire & Educate: Develop public presentations and educational materials for businesses, community colleges, economic development entities, and other key workforce partners across the state. Participate in state-wide webinars and question-and-answer sessions with the public, individual businesses, and training providers to explain grant rules and processes
  • Collaborate with Wyoming businesses, Community Colleges, Chambers of Commerce, Wyoming Economic Development Association, Wyoming State Council of Human Resources, Rotary Clubs, Next Generation Sector Partnership Groups, Wyoming Business Council, and other workforce partners to administer grant information and provide technical assistance
  • Ensure adherence to state grant rules and regulations for all grants. Oversee tracking program budget and manage expenditures for all grants
