Under the direction of the Director of Community Relations, the Workforce Development (WFD) Program Manager is responsible for execution of organizational workforce development strategies by developing, implementing and managing external and internal WFD programs. These include the High School Blood Bank Collections Specialist (Phlebotomist), University of Hawaii Donor Recruitment, and Center of Excellence Programs.
Job Responsibility:
Works with Director of Community Relations and BBH leadership to build, strengthen, and maintain strategic relationships with collaborator organizations
Supports WFD program fundraising and marketing efforts
Plans and creates course pacing guides, curricula, lesson plans, and student/trainee assessment tools
Delivers engaging lessons, facilitates class activities and discussions, completes and presents both formal assessments and informal constructive feedback
Maintains a safe and inclusive classroom environment
Maintains thorough and accurate training and assessment records
Performs audits of training records
Provides presentations and reports related to training programs
Participates in special projects to implement new initiatives
Participates in department meetings, continuing education programs
Coordinates with the Director of Community Relations, teachers, and BBH management to evaluate the program
Works with Director of Community Relations to monitor and manage program budget and key performance indicators
Incorporates customer service in all training and serves as a resource and positive role model
Provides effective supervision to trainers and other direct report team members
Assists with recruitment of training program staff
Manages schedules and oversees performance assessments and management
Collaborates with BBH Operations leadership to coordinate training schedules for BBH trainees
Performs other duties and functions as assigned
Requirements:
Experience in teaching or training curriculum development and/or execution strongly preferred
Healthcare industry experience desirable
Staff supervisory experience preferred
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in education, social services, or healthcare strongly preferred
Teaching or technical certifications preferred but not required
Demonstrated proficiency to design, develop, implement and conduct educational or training curricula
Ability to develop and conduct training needs assessments and surveys
Strong listening and communication skills
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Composure and professionalism under time constraints or pressure
Effective use of basic business and educational software, such as MS Office Suite, Canva, Time and Attendance
Professional, business appearance
Flexibility in schedule to meet deadlines
Ability to travel among off-site locations
