Job Description

We have been exclusively retained by a reputable, mid-sized regional law firm with a strong insurance defense and civil litigation practice, which seeks to hire a workers’ compensation partner or workers’ compensation group with a Pennsylvania-based book of business. The firm also has existing workers’ compensation matters that they could provide.

Job Responsibility

  • Represent employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators
  • Lead the firm’s Philadelphia-based workers’ compensation practice
  • Originate workers’ compensation or other related matters

Requirements

  • A partner or group with a self-sustaining, portable book of business
  • Strong writing, advocacy, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar
  • 11+ Years experience

  • Communicate with insureds, claimants, and other stakeholders to address questions, explain next steps, and provide attentive service throughout the claim process
  • Prepare and issue required jurisdictional notices, arrange benefit-related activities, and maintain documentation needed for claim administration
  • Coordinate medical appointments and gather treatment updates from providers to support timely handling of active files
  • Evaluate medical documentation and related claim materials to help determine claim validity and appropriate benefit consideration
  • Partner with investigative resources when red flags arise and assist with escalated claim review as needed
  • Work with legal representatives and internal partners to support case strategy, resolution planning, and ongoing file progress
  • Assist the broader claims team with administrative tasks such as filing, tracking deadlines, and completing assigned support activities
