At Claims Associates, Inc., we’re dedicated to helping people navigate the workers’ compensation process with fairness, efficiency, and compassion. We provide multi-line claims adjusting, third-party administration, and nurse case management services throughout South Dakota and the region. We’re currently hiring a full-time Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster and we’re open to training the right person for the role. If you’ve worked in a field where accuracy, confidentiality, communication, and documentation matter—like healthcare, insurance, or legal support—this could be a great fit for you!

Job Responsibility:

  • Communicate with injured workers, employers, medical providers, attorneys to move claims forward
  • Organize and manage detailed claim documentation in our electronic system
  • Coordinate medical care and return-to-work plans
  • Review and authorize payment for medical bills, lost wages, and related expenses
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and reporting requirements
  • Collaborate with our internal team to support timely and fair claim resolution
  • Handle confidential information with care and professionalism

Requirements:

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Confident communicator, both written and verbal
  • Comfortable learning new systems
  • Experience in a setting that involves medical or legal terminology (such as healthcare admin, insurance, or paralegal work)
  • Prior workers’ compensation experience (a plus, but not required)
