Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster to help our client tackle an influx of work. In this contract role, you will support claims management processes, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards while collaborating with various stakeholders. This position requires an individual with a strong background in workers’ compensation claims and litigation and keen attention to detail.

Job Responsibility:

  • Handle complex workers’ compensation claims, conducting investigations, evaluating cases, and negotiating resolutions
  • Assess compensability, calculate benefits, and approve payments in compliance with applicable laws and company guidelines
  • Collaborate with attorneys, medical providers, and internal teams to develop treatment plans, return-to-work programs, and settlement strategies
  • Maintain thorough case documentation in the claims management system and ensure timely reporting to meet regulatory standards
  • Represent the organization in mediations, settlement conferences, and hearings, often working with external counsel
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, early intervention, and fraud prevention in claim handling

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in workers’ compensation claims management
  • Strong knowledge of Minnesota workers’ compensation laws and procedures
  • Proven ability to manage complex workflows and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with case management software and litigation processes
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
