Job Responsibility:

  • Advise clients on industry standards and leading practices in the UK Payroll domain
  • Apply Workday and Accenture methodologies
  • Independently lead workstream and report progress
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand payroll processes
  • Analyse and evaluate existing payroll systems and processes to identify areas for improvement
  • Configure and customize the Workday payroll software to align with business requirements
  • Develop and implement payroll policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Workday payroll with other modules such as HR, finance, and time management

Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of payroll processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Expertise in implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Workday payroll software
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR, finance, and IT
  • Ability to analyse requirements and develop functional specifications

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve payroll-related issues

  • Define and execute the comprehensive global payroll strategy for rapid growth and new countries such as in the Australia, Canada, India, Ireland, UK and more

  • Hire and lead a high-performing team with a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Own end-to-end multi-country payroll: processing, funding, statutory remittances, reporting, and year-end (e.g., W-2, T4, P60, TDS/Forms 16, PAYG)
  • Ensure accurate, timely, compliant pay for all populations and pay types, including equity and variable compensation
  • Reduce cycle time while ensuring quality through root-cause analysis and automation, with strong data quality and employee focus
