Job Description:

Robert Half is seeking a Workday Systems Administrator to support a learning and education nonprofit organization based in Portland, Oregon. This position will play a key role in supporting the post-implementation phase of Workday, with a focus on Finance module configuration, security, and user access.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support Workday Finance testing cycles (UAT, regression, parallel payroll, integrations)
  • Assist with configuration validation, business process routing, roles, and permissions
  • Troubleshoot issues, raise flags, and identify when something appears misconfigured or inconsistent with Finance logic
  • Execute or support EIB loads, data validation, and cleanup tasks
  • Partner with TopBloc, the CFO, Controller, AP Supervisor, and internal Workday Admin to move configurations across environments
  • Support end-user training, documentation, and general functional enablement
  • Provide stabilization support post-go-live: Transaction monitoring, Error resolution, Reporting clean-up, Integration review
  • Participate in ongoing process improvements once the system stabilizes

Requirements:

  • Strong hands-on Workday Financials experience (preferably across AP, AR, Banking, Business Assets, Expenses, Procurement, or similar)
  • Ability to support testing, integrations, business processes, security, and reporting
  • Familiarity with EIBs, tenant review, configuration troubleshooting
  • Experience collaborating with implementation partners (TopBloc experience a plus)
  • Solid working knowledge of core Accounting/Finance principles (AP/AR, payroll flows, budgeting, month-end logic)
  • Identify when numbers or configurations look incorrect
  • Communicate risk areas intelligently
  • Support the CFO/Controller in decision-making during build and testing

Understanding of Adaptive Planning is helpful but not required
