Job Description

We are looking for a Workday Reporting Lead to support a contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role in Cleveland, Ohio. In this role, you will serve as a hands-on reporting specialist, creating and refining Workday reports that help HR, Payroll, and operational teams make informed decisions. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver accurate, secure, and practical reporting solutions while helping strengthen long-term reporting capabilities across the organization.

Job Responsibility

  • Create, enhance, and support a range of Workday reports, including complex report types designed for HR, Payroll, and business users
  • Meet with stakeholders to define reporting objectives, translate business questions into technical solutions, and confirm expected outputs
  • Build calculated fields, apply conditional logic, and configure filters to address detailed and multifaceted reporting needs
  • Review report access and output structure to ensure alignment with security rules and role-based visibility requirements
  • Execute testing and validation activities to confirm report accuracy, reliability, and readiness for business use
  • Incorporate feedback from user acceptance efforts and adjust reporting solutions to improve functionality and usability
  • Work closely with internal leaders, IT teams, and implementation partners to keep reporting deliverables aligned with project priorities and timelines
  • Investigate and resolve escalated reporting issues, providing support for ongoing system updates, release activity, and optimization efforts
  • Prepare documentation and share knowledge with internal teams to support sustainable ownership of Workday reporting capabilities

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience working in a dedicated Workday reporting or report-writing capacity
  • Demonstrated ability to design and maintain custom reports within Workday
  • Practical knowledge of Workday HCM and Payroll data models and their reporting implications
  • Experience developing calculated fields, business logic, and filtering structures in Workday
  • Solid understanding of Workday security concepts and how access settings affect report design
  • Strong focus on data quality, detail, and validation during report development and testing
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-moving environment involving HR, Payroll, IT, and external partners

Nice to have

Experience with HRIS reporting and user acceptance testing is highly valuable
