Job Description:

Workday Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Analyst II works under the HR Technology Manager and work directly with Project Managers, Developers, and Analysts. Primary responsibilities are collaborating with the above team members, writing test plans and scripts, performing testing on new software development and changes to existing software ensuring compliance to company standards and end-user requirements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage all SQA activities on a project including defect review meetings and creating estimates
  • Build a library of test scenarios on various Workday Business Process
  • Provide guidance and support on all testing activities to team members and testers
  • Review business requirements and creates detailed test plans and test scripts for both manual and automated testing and will collaborate with various teams to ensure there's clarity on defects, expected results and work to ensure that issues are being addressed in a timely manner
  • Support testing efforts with bi-annual Workday Releases
  • Responsible for communicating progress, issues and risks to key project stakeholders
  • Will participate in reviewing the finalized business requirements and obtain clarifications from the project team to support test plans and materials
  • Write, maintain, and execute simple test scripts using Excel, SharePoint, and soon to be Test Management 2.0 in ServiceNow
  • Use ServiceNow and SharePoint to record defects and to load requirements, test plans and test scripts

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree and 2-4 years of experience or a 2 year degree and equivalent related experience
  • 3+ years’ experience working in the Workday infrastructure handling release management and quality assurance testing
  • Functional understanding of the Workday solution (HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Absence and Time Tracking)
  • Experience with end-to-end testing - Testing Planning, Test Execution, UAT, Regression
  • Must have experience analyzing functional and technical requirements and mapping documents and transforming them into a comprehensive Test Plan
  • Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team oriented global environment and handle multiple projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong business acumen within a technical environment
  • Collaborates with others well
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
