Job Description:

Our client is looking for a skilled Workday Payroll Analyst to join their team in Sugar Land, Texas. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while adhering to multi-state regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Job Responsibility:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll cycles with precision and compliance across multiple states
  • Review and validate timekeeping records, including overtime calculations and shift differentials
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and excellent customer service
  • Audit and reconcile payroll data to maintain accuracy and resolve discrepancies
  • Safeguard confidential payroll information and handle sensitive data with discretion
  • Partner with HR, Accounting, and IT teams to streamline payroll operations and implement improvements
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Generate detailed payroll reports and provide insights for management review
  • Support organizational initiatives by maintaining accurate payroll documentation and records

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of payroll processing experience, including multi-state payroll
  • At least 2 years of experience working with Workday payroll systems
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
  • Comprehensive knowledge of payroll regulations, timekeeping, and overtime calculations
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high accuracy standards
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with a focus on customer service
  • High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information

  • Drive process improvement and deliver scalable processes
  • Ensure audit controls are strictly followed and identify any gaps
  • Liaise with internal teams and external vendors as the payroll SME
