We are looking for an experienced Workday Lead to support a contract engagement based in Augusta, Maine. This role will guide business analysis efforts across HR, payroll, benefits, and compliance functions while helping stakeholders shape effective Workday solutions. The position calls for a strong communicator who can coordinate across teams, translate operational needs into clear plans, and drive progress through collaboration and disciplined execution. This is a Contract position.
Job Responsibility:
Lead Workday-related business analysis activities by gathering needs from HR, payroll, benefits, and compliance teams and turning them into practical solution plans.
Partner with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors to align priorities, clarify expectations, and maintain steady delivery progress.
Develop and refine business requirement documentation, process workflows, and functional designs that support system improvements and ongoing enhancements.
Oversee configuration management activities and help ensure Workday modules are set up in accordance with organizational policies and operational objectives.
Act as a liaison across cross-functional groups to resolve issues, support deployments, and coordinate changes with minimal disruption to business operations.
Promote best practices for Agile and Scrum delivery by facilitating collaboration, tracking milestones, and supporting iterative solution development.
Review current HR and payroll processes to identify opportunities for optimization, improved standard operating procedures, and stronger operational efficiency.
Support compliance-focused initiatives by ensuring solution designs and process updates reflect applicable policy and business control requirements.
Requirements:
Demonstrated experience leading Workday initiatives in a business analyst or functional leadership capacity.
Strong knowledge of HR administration, payroll, and benefits processes within enterprise systems.
Ability to create clear business requirement documents, functional specifications, and process-focused documentation.
Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders, vendors, and delivery teams in Agile or Scrum environments.
Solid understanding of compliance, policy alignment, and governance considerations related to system changes.
Excellent communication and coordination skills with the ability to influence decisions and maintain stakeholder alignment.
Background in configuration management, solution design, deployments, and continuous system enhancement efforts.
