Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Workday Lead Financial Engineer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Dublin, Ohio. This role requires a hands-on technical expert with extensive experience in developing integrations and custom solutions within Workday Financial Management, including General Ledger, Expense, and Source-to-Pay modules. The ideal candidate will work closely with finance and IT teams to deliver robust technical solutions that align with enterprise financial operations.

Job Responsibility

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy complex Workday integrations using tools such as Studio, Orchestrate, and Core/Cloud Connectors
  • Build and maintain custom solutions within Workday Extend, including coding orchestration logic and API-driven integrations
  • Develop and support inbound and outbound integrations between Workday Financials and external systems, such as procurement platforms and banking systems
  • Perform data transformations using calculated fields and related Workday features
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across development, testing, and production environments
  • Provide technical engineering support for key Workday Financial Management areas, including General Ledger, Expense, and Source-to-Pay
  • Ensure solutions align with financial transaction flows, accounting structures, and data models
  • Act as a technical lead for Workday Financials integrations and Extend development, mentoring entry level engineers and reviewing code
  • Collaborate with architects, project managers, and functional stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and performance optimization
  • Maintain technical documentation, data mappings, and specifications while staying updated on Workday releases and enhancements

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on technical development experience within Workday
  • Proficiency in coding solutions using Workday Extend and creating integrations with Workday APIs
  • Solid experience supporting Workday Financial Management modules such as General Ledger, Expense, and Source-to-Pay
  • Expertise in integration tools like Studio and Orchestrate, along with knowledge of RESTful and SOAP APIs
  • Familiarity with enterprise finance operations and ability to align technical solutions with business needs
  • Advanced skills in SQL, ETL processes, and stored procedures
  • Ability to operate independently while leading technical delivery efforts
  • Experience in regulated or large-scale environments is preferred, along with relevant certifications in Workday Financials or Integrations
