Job Description

Adyen is looking for a Workday Functional Specialist to join our Finance Systems team in Amsterdam. This team is at the heart of Group Finance, responsible for building, maintaining, and scaling the financial technology stack that powers our global operations. We manage key applications like Workday Financials, Omnea, Coupa, HighRadius, and various in-house tools, and your primary focus will be on ensuring they all work together seamlessly. This is a high-impact role with a unique opportunity to develop. You'll be joining a team of experts, and we're looking for someone who is passionate about technology, eager to learn new systems, and proactive in finding opportunities to create value.

Job Responsibility

  • Guide projects end-to-end, from evaluating potential systems solutions to managing RFPs for new tooling, facilitating stakeholder decisions, and supporting implementation
  • Proactively improve existing internal processes and develop solutions together with various teams, such as Controlling & Accounting, Finance Operations, Product, Payroll, and Reporting
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align regional and global requirements
  • Support, maintain, and administrate Workday (and other applications) for finance globally
  • Work closely with all of our Finance, HR, Payroll, and Procurement teams globally to gain a deep understanding and to provide support on our systems and processes
  • Support and collaborate with the finance team and the Workday Integration Specialists in the development of new solutions

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in a Workday functional role and reporting expertise
  • You communicate clearly and are able to present information to a non-technical audience
  • You understand architecture principles, data models, functional interactions, privacy regulations, and security, and you recognize the impact of changes, including to downstream systems
  • You have a passion for supporting people and optimizing our system processes
  • You are hands-on and pragmatic, using technologies to bring automation ideas to life
  • You are innovative, have strong problem-solving capabilities, and have the initiative to inspire change with others while keeping in mind downstream dependencies
  • You are detail-oriented and ensure the integrity of your changes
  • You have experience with stakeholder management

Nice to have

  • Experience with procurement applications such as Omnea, Coupa, or HighRadius is a significant plus
  • Understanding of Finance and/or Accounting is a plus
